The Rafael Gonzalez Panetelas Extra is one of three short-filler panetelas made in Cuba, and in our opinion the most enjoyable. It is an easy and linear cigar with hints of milky coffee, milk chocolate, roasted hazelnuts and floral notes. The tobacco is mild, which makes this excellent for anyone smoking their first Cuban. Pairs perfectly with a morning coffee or pre-dinner aperitif. It does not need much age to be at its best, but may need some gentle massaging to get an acceptable draw. Very good value for money.
